Michael Miiro is based at the Masaka District Local Government in Uganda in the department for disability and the elderly. He possesses a Master of Arts in Public Advocacy and Activism, a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGD CBR) and a BA in Adult and Community Education (BACE). He is also a part-time lecturer on CBR at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). He was the OPEN Project Job Support Officer and Trainer with Handicap International (HI), Uganda from 2011-2012 and since 2009 has been serving as a part-time disability consultant to World Vision, Sign Health Uganda, Sense International Uganda and KADIPEFA. Michael is founding chairperson of the Kasubi Disabled Youth and Parents Association.
